Description - The goal of the DPZW is to ensure that the Netherlands is resilient to a freshwater shortage in 2050. This is the overarching goal of the five national (sub) goals established in the Delta Program on Freshwater 2015: (1) a healthy and balanced water system promote, (2) protect crucial user functions, (3) improve the competitive position of water-dependent sectors, (4) use water effectively and economically and (5) develop water knowledge, skills and innovations. Measures are needed to make the Netherlands resilient to freshwater shortage.
