Description - The Birmingham Community Equipment Loan Service (BCELS) is being recommissioned and the new service is due to start on 1st April 2025.BCELS is commissioned to meet the health and wellbeing needs of citizens who are: Residents of Birmingham. Reg istered with a Birmingham GP who is a member of NHS Birmingham and Solihull ICB Where exceptional authorisation has been given by commissioners, for example, in emergency cases, where people are subject to court orders, deprivation of liberty etc.It is proposed that the new contract will be for a 5 plus 5 years (10-year max) contract but this subject to final approval and the current estimated annual spend is around £7.5m per year.This event
