Description - Light Rail Development is in the process of preparing for the procurement of the construction of the Light Rail construction stage 5 from Bergen city centre to Åsane. The fifth construction stage runs from the city centre through Åsane to Vågsbotn , together with a continual cycle route and an extension of the Fløyfjell tunnel to Eidsvåg. The line is planned to be realised in two construction stages. The first stage is approx. 2.5 km of double track from the city centre to Amalie Skrams Vei (Sandviken) with a possible opening in 2028. The next stage is approx. 10 kilometres of double track from Amalie Skrams Vei to Åsane, scheduled to open in 2033. This stage also includes a covered car
