Description - Description: The Southern Expressway (SSW) is of significant transport importance for the greater Hanover area and is part of the supra-regional federal highway network. The approximately 3.8 km long section (Landwehr roundabout to the underpass of t he DB railway line) is a 4-lane federal highway with minimum lane widths and no hard shoulder. The planning envisages expanding the route to cross-sectional widths corresponding to todays regulations and replacing the structures that will be removed in the near future. The route crosses the rivers Ihme, Hemminger Maschgraben, Senibach, and the Leine. The main standing bodies of water in the project area or in the immediate vicinity of the project
