Description - In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, it is necessary to implement the federal test strategy in the German-speaking community professionally and practically. For a laboratory diagnostic examination to clarify the suspicion of an acute infection wi th the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, through direct virus detection from respiratory secretions , the RT-PCR test has been validated and is considered to be the most reliable method and thus the "standard" for diagnostics.
