Description - Tyrrell County has received a $900,000 CDBG-CV to address COVID related needs. The County is in the process of submitting an amendment to the Rural Economic Development Division (REDD), NC Department of Commerce to enable a portion of grant funds to be used toward the design and construction of improvements to Tyrrell County’s Health Department building. CDBG contract provisions must be incorporated into contract documents. CDBG-CV funds must be spent/drawndown by March 3, 2025. Proposed improvements include: 1. modifications to waiting and intake office area; 2. lab room renovations; 3. roof/ceiling/wall/floor repair throughout building; and 4. portico for testing/medicine intake/delivery
