Description - Description The Alberta Geological Survey (AGS), a branch of the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER), is conducting work on critical elements and minerals. Part of this work includes geochemical analyses of new and archived samples from coal beds and asso ciated geological units. The sample materials could also include coal mine waste and coal combustion byproducts, depending on availability. All work will be dependent on budgets that have yet to be defined, and therefore project timelines and sample volumes are subject to change.
