Description - Description 1.This RFP is open to all interested vendors.2. The City of Calgary is initiating an infrastructure program to expand the capacity and resiliency of The City’s water treatment system to meet the needs of a growing population. This expan sion program will include the design and construction of a new water treatment plant, as well as a new or upgraded raw water intake that will supply raw water to the new plant. Even with water conservation measures in place per The City’s water efficiency and conservation initiatives, it is currently planned that the new infrastructure will need to be operational by 2035 to address forecasted water demand and population growth.
