Description - Description: EPFL intends to purchase a roll-to-roll system for the synthesis of porous graphene membranes for its Laboratory of Advanced Separations (LAS) at the Faculty of Basic Sciences (FSB). The facility will be used for cutting-edge research in to the formation of pores in graphene, followed by the production of flat graphene membranes for use in carbon capture as part of the EPFL flagship project Solutions4Sustainability. The roll-to-roll porous graphene membrane manufacturing facility will have multiple processing stations. It starts with a roll of graphene from chemical vapor deposition (CVD) on a Cu support.
