Description - The contractor (AN) is building 83 pieces of superconducting quadrupole doublet modules (QDM) and 12 pieces of the so-called missing dipole modules (MDP) for operation in the SIS100 particle accelerator, which is part of the international FAIR projec t. Each QDM consists of two superconducting quadrupole magnets, correction magnets, beam diagnosis and beam shaping equipment, ultra-high vacuum beam tube chambers, several helium cooling circuits, a common mechanical support and suspension system for the integration of the internals and an enclosing cryostat system.
