The UN SDG Action Campaign, together with the office of UNDP in the Sierra Leone are supporting the Freetown City Council to implement the #FreetownTheTreeTown Campaign, one of the winners of the 2021 Global Mayors Challenge. The project aims to have a quantified and demonstrable compensation effect on CO2 emissions, by providing access to climate risk reduction, ecosystem services, and green economy co-benefits
