Description - There is currently the need for a high resolution, high positional accuracy 3D microscope to aid component quality inspection (form & textural) at the AMRC. The research will involve manufacturing defect detection, with non-contact scans for geometry profile, metallic burring, CFRP delamination and uncut fibres. Automated scanning, easy machine configuration changes (for example lens changes) and variable light setting will aid in rapid inspection for multiple non-connected regions per workpiece.
