Request for Quotes: Supply of Bitumen for Road Surfacing

Background


The Feeder Roads Alternative and Maintenance Program (FRAMP) is a four-year USAID funded project being implemented by Cardno Emerging Markets USA, Ltd. Through FRAMP, Cardno will oversee the rehabilitation of 450km of rural roads, test different low volume seals, develop a community-based maintenance system and build the capacity of Liberian construction firms, public sector engineers and planners, and community-based organizations (CBOs) to manage the road network.

For the construction of the test sections of sealed road, Cardno is requesting quotes for the supply of various types of bitumen. Quotes should contain the following information:

• Company Profile
o Business Registration
o Contact Information
o Reference Clients, preference given for clients in Liberia
• Cost, Availability, Full Technical Specifications, and Timeframe of Delivery to Monrovia of the following:

Bitumen Estimated Quantity
80/100 Penetration 25 Metric Tons
Modified Cationic Emulsion 25 Metric Tons
150/200 Penetration 130 Metric Tons
MC30 (optional) 25 Metric Tons
MC3000 (optional) 45 Metric Tons

• For branded products in the list above, feel free to submit details of similar quality and specification bitumen.
• Ownership of the supply will be taken by Cardno at port in Liberia. Seller is responsible for all insurance and transportation costs for international quotes.
