Design And Supply Of Steel Structure And Cladding For An Extension To Lookout Primary School – Multipurpose Hall (Building 6) At Lookout In Montserrat, West Indies
The Ministry of Communication, Works and Labour invites experienced manufactures of steel structures to tender for the design and supply of a steel frame structure with associated metal wall/roof cladding, doors, windows and fittings etc. for the multipurpose hall to Lookout Primary School at Lookout in Montserrat, West Indies.
The building is single storey (with partial mezzanine) with 25feet minimum ceiling height, and is a combination of steel structural frame and reinforced concrete structure with concrete block infill walls at lower section of walls (FL+12feet). The floor area is approximately 4017sqft in total.
The construction of the foundations and building, including assembly and erection of the steel structural frame and fixing of the cladding, doors and windows will be undertaken by a local contractor.
Preference will be given to manufacturers with previous Caribbean experience.
The successful tenderer will be required to provide a performance bond (10% of contract sum) as part of the contract.
Retention for defects liability (up to 5% of the contract sum) will be applied throughout the construction of the building.

The deadline for submission of the tender will be by the 1st of December 2010.
Supply must be made in one complete shipment to arrive in Montserrat by the end of June 2011.
