| Description: | INVITATION TO TENDER CURACAO PLANS TO REALIZE A 10 TO 15 MW SOLAR PLANT The energy production company of Curacao, Aqualectra, has recently started a tender procedure to realize a 10 to 15 MWp large scale PV plant on the island. Aqualectra is Curacao's utility company, responsible for the production and distribution of power and water as well as the delivery of accompanying services. At this moment, 26% of Curacao's total energy demand is already being supplied by renewable energy sources (wind and solar), with a total capacity of 58 MW. Aqualectra plans to increase its renewable energy portfolio with a 10 to 15 MWp solar PV plant. The solar systems will be installed on rooftops of commercial buildings, spread across Curacao, and will supply electricity to Aqualectra. DNV GL, based in the Netherlands, was contracted as technical advisor and main contact point during the tender procedure.
